My client is looking for a Senior Manager Commercial Analytics to work directly with the Group Director, MD and Chief Sports Officer within the group analytics and research team. You will help ensure they makes the right decisions on the issues that matter.
They are an independent media group and distribute and produce an array of entertainment, live sport and major international events across 5 countries, 43 countries and in 7 different languages.
They were incorporated in January 2014 and have 3,700+ employees worldwide. The London office consists of 60 people and 7 employees in the analytics team.
Salary - up to £100,000 DOE
Location - Central London
The role will include but not limited to:
Partner the Sports and Entertainment content acquisition teams, being their first point of call for rights valuation and bidding strategy, deploying the array of primary and secondary data available to you
Contribute to content valuation and bidding strategy, with decision-driving market and competitor insight and robust financial evaluation and recommendations
Develop and improve upon content valuation methodologies
Assess the performance of rights acquisitions after the fact, leading to learning's that are implemented to future rights acquisitions
Support the Group Director with strategic projects, by preparing project documents, developing business cases and reports, and contributing to decision making.
Develop reports, documents, and BI Dashboards to disseminate insights to the acquisition, commercial and strategy teams across the business.
Support the anti-piracy teams by developing business cases, tracking commercial impact and ROI
Partner with consultancies to deliver projects which contribute to commercial objectives
Collaborate with the wider Analytics team to maximise the business value from analytics and drive the reputation of the department across the company.
Key Requirements:
6+ years experience in a management consulting, and/or the internal strategy or commercial finance department of a technology, media or telecommunications business.
Experience combining financial, and non-financial KPIs to prepare thought-leading insight and strategic guidance.
Experience working with different cultures, different competitive and consumer landscapes and diverse interests.
Experience contributing to and leading projects at the intersection between content, product, and marketing.
Experienced in delivering quality reports and insights to internal and external teams that have added significant value to the sales process.
