We have a fantastic opportunity for a Revenue and Billings Manager to work with a global award winning communications agency! Here you will work in the heart of our finance team, you will work as a Revenue and Billing Manager in charge of the client cycle from client set up through billing, revenue accounting and everything in-between.
A successful candidate will already have some solid experience gained from a revenue accounting role and knowledge of client financial procedures, processes, and audit requirements. We are looking for an individual who is self-motivated and enjoy developing relationships with a variety of teams and people at all levels of seniority.
The successful individual will have proven experience in a similar role and will thrive in a fast-paced office environment. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for the following key outputs:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare New Client Form for system set up; ensure copy of signed client agreement is in place; ensure credit check has been carried out and reviewed by FD.
- Create new/additional jobs in the system and communicate to team leaders; maintain jobs following end of projects where applicable.
- Update billing schedule for both fees and expenses with clear understanding of timelines, currencies, or any mark-ups to be applied.
- Manage the monthly billing cycle ensuring all intercompany and trade invoices are issued on a timely schedule and correctly, resolve any queries.
- Ensure all SOX controls relating to accounts receivables items are followed and liaise with FD on a timely manner if any concerns/issues arise.
- Monitor aged debt, being responsible for all credit control activities and dispute resolution.
- Full ownership of the UK revenue recognition
- Being responsible for the month end from a revenue perspective
- Carry out revenue recognition in line with GAAP and IFRS
- Monthly review and update of deferrals, accruals, and any other revenue adjustments
- Support with intercompany reconciliations
- Maintaining WiP ensuring that client billing is in line with budgets and is always up to date.
- Record keeping - ensuring that contracts, files, and reports for audit / SOX.
SKILLS:
- At least 3 years experience in a relevant position
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Excellent attention to detail
- A positive, can-do attitude is essential.
- Ability to thrive in a very fast-paced team environment with strong time management skills.
- Ability to work within tight deadlines.
