PAYROLL MANAGER - CREATIVE - HERTFORDSHIRE
We have a brilliant opportunity for an individual looking for a part time or full time Payroll Manager role with growing creative agency based in the Hertfordshire area. A successful candidate should have excellent attention to detail, have the ability to work efficiently and to tight deadlines and great problem-solving skills. Here you would be reporting to the People Director and working closely with the People team, the role will blend both knowledge of People processes and best practice. As the Payroll Manager you will play a crucial role managing the weekly and monthly payroll duties for over 200 employees.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Authorise weekly and salaried Payroll Payments for the UK across all payrolls.
Planning and executing the Tax Year End and start of the new tax year.
Planning and executing P11d's including filing with the Inland Revenue.
Liaise with External companies in order to comply with new codes of practice.
Administration of Company Pension Schemes
Pension reconciliations
Adhere to corporate reporting requirements such as GDPR.
HMRC RTI Submissions and Payment
HMRC Apprenticeship Levy submissions and payment
Management and development of the team including motivation and recruitment.
Train and increase the Team's skills/performance to a consistently high standard.
Forecasting of the weekly cash flow figures for the Finance Team.
Work closely with the Finance team with Payroll reconciliations.
Prepare and present yearly accounts and reconciliations for the Auditors.
Ensure quality/skills/legal standards are met by having all processes used consistently.
Ensures induction processes are in place to make sure all new Team members receive a proper induction.
Ensure performance appraisals are completed for the Team in line with the organisational expectations.
Continually monitors service levels provided by the Team
Be able to manage customer dissatisfaction or discrepancies that may occur.
Promoting the Payroll function within core areas of the Business.
SKILLS:
Excellent communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Strong knowledge of Mathematics and forecasting
Knowledge of PAYE, NI, SSP, SSP and Tax Year end.
The ability to develop, deploy and maintain Payroll procedures and processes.
Good knowledge of the principles underlying statutory legislation and laws.
Experience leading and motivating a team
Logical thinking and problem-solving ability
Ability to meet strict deadlines
