The successful candidate will be tasked with managing the day-to-day payroll processing activities across UK lines of business, while ensuring timely and accurate delivery in a fast-paced environment. Key responsibilities -
Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing, statutory reporting, and audit support for UK operations
Manage and develop direct reports to support payroll functions and succession planning
Adapt departmental priorities to address resource and operational challenges
Ensure employees are paid accurately and on time, fulfilling the Company's contractual obligations
Maintain strong relationships with internal partners
Address payroll-related queries from employees and stakeholders, escalating when necessary
Resolve legal entity concerns regarding the payroll process
Suggest enhancements for process improvement and efficiency
Candidate requirements -
Extensive experience, preferably leading a payroll team for a large multinational employer
Have a payroll management qualification
Strong knowledge of UK payroll practices, regulations, and taxes
Expertise in handling expenses, benefits, and perquisites, including tax treatments
Strong leadership skills to achieve both individual and team objectives
