Handle are currently working with a hugely popular global media brand who are looking for an Interim Payroll Manager! The successful candidate will be tasked with managing the day-to-day payroll processing activities across UK lines of business, while ensuring timely and accurate delivery in a fast-paced environment. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Payroll Manager to gain some fantastic experience in such a successful business!

Key responsibilities -

  • Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing, statutory reporting, and audit support for UK operations

  • Manage and develop direct reports to support payroll functions and succession planning

  • Adapt departmental priorities to address resource and operational challenges

  • Ensure employees are paid accurately and on time, fulfilling the Company's contractual obligations

  • Maintain strong relationships with internal partners

  • Address payroll-related queries from employees and stakeholders, escalating when necessary

  • Resolve legal entity concerns regarding the payroll process

  • Suggest enhancements for process improvement and efficiency

Candidate requirements -

  • Extensive experience, preferably leading a payroll team for a large multinational employer

  • Have a payroll management qualification

  • Strong knowledge of UK payroll practices, regulations, and taxes

  • Expertise in handling expenses, benefits, and perquisites, including tax treatments

  • Strong leadership skills to achieve both individual and team objectives
