An early-stage HealthTech start-up are looking for their first Senior HR Hire to help build the people function.
Founded in 2020, they are c.80 people and growing, with the goal of dominating the fitness tech space! The team are ambitious and passionate and have grown a fantastic people-centric and inclusive culture with the help of a small people team and passionate SLT. After recently securing a new £5m funding round, they now need someone with a more strategic level of experience to join that can hit the ground running and get their basic HR function into shape, ready to scale.
Reporting into the COO, you'll be leading both the People and Talent functions, with solid experience within a scaling start up. The SLT will be looking to you as council, so they want someone with fresh ideas on how best to grow this function alongside the team. There is a lot of project work needed - everything from establishing and implementing new L&D programmes, championing culture and DEI initiatives to HR Operations - getting systems streamlined and using data and metrics to inform People Strategy. There is a lot of room to have a real impact as the business grows!
The ideal candidate will be someone who has worked in start-ups or scrappy creative/ tech environments before that enjoys working at pace. You'll need a commercial eye with the ability to put strategy into action and bring others on a journey with you to deliver excellence. They also need someone who has covered both UK and US territories and has a good understanding of local employments laws.
They have a flex working pattern, but ideally need someone who can commit to 3 days in the office, based in Central SW London. They also offer a competitive benefits package and extra stock options on top of the base salary.
