Handle are currently working with a hugely popular global media brand, who are looking for a technically strong - Head of Finance. This is a great role that oversees external reporting, financial control and manages a team of 4. Therefore, proven team management and extensive experience with IFRS and technical accounting is key!

Responsibilities include -

Lead and develop a high-performing team, offering mentorship and development
Review financial statements and provide technical accounting input
Ensure compliance with IFRS accounting standards for both existing and new policies
Business Partner with various departments to discuss new or complex accounting scenarios
Oversee the relationship with the Group Reporting team to ensure accurate and timely reporting
Manage the audit process
Advise on statutory account filing and global compliance

Candidate Requirements -

Fully qualified Accountant with a minimum of 5 years post qualified experience
Extensive experience and deep understanding of IFRS, technical accounting concepts, and policies
Be a proven team leader with experience developing and mentoring a high-performing team
Have worked in another large multi-complex media business, ideally TV production
Proven ability to improve financial reporting processes and deliver high-quality output under tight deadlines
