Senior FP&A and Commercial Analyst - TV
The Senior Commercial & FP&A Analyst will be involved in commercial and strategic activities and will work with the Commercial FD and Head of FP&A on annual budgets, forecasts, 5 year plans and business planning.
Reporting into the Commercial FD, the analyst will also play a key part by supporting the Commercial team in delivering high quality analysis and preparation of business cases in various activities and opportunities across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
FP&A
- Produce and maintain a multi-currency and multi territory budget, forecast and 5 year plan consolidation
- Support the analysis of budget data and forecast data. Challenge where necessary and pull together bridges and variance analysis to explain key movements
- Improve and adapt current models in line with business needs
- Maintain strong working relationships with business partners
- Management of large amounts of data from multiple sources
- Produce management reports and ad-hoc financial presentations including the board deck
- Develop clear, logical driver based Excel and BPC models for consolidation and analysis
- Assist in providing finance systems support across the EMEA team
- Leverage new and old systems by integrating and automating reports into financial planning model/s for business use
- Support Head of FP&A with key strategic projects
Commercial
- Building business models for commercial business cases for deal renewals, new business opportunities across distribution, digital and ad sales; partnering with the commercial team to create, review and challenge assumptions
- With the Commercial FD, ensure the business cases are reviewed and supported by the commercial lead and COO and CFO, prior to senior management approval
- Support the Commercial FD on collation of the quarterly board presentation and finance presentations with senior management team
- Ad hoc requests - presentations for senior management team, support for the financial team on reporting, ad hoc financial analysis as requested by the commercial team
Person Specification:
- Strong academic background (2:1 degree)
- Newly Qualified CIMA or ACCA
- Competent use of financial systems, including SAP/BPC, Power BI
- Experience of financial modelling, with strong Excel skills and willingness to learn further
- Excellent interpersonal skills and communication with a range of colleagues at varying levels of seniority
- Able to quickly build credibility, winning the respect and co-operation of colleagues at all levels
