Handle are delighted to be working with a rapidly expanding London production company in their search for a Senior Finance Manager. As an already successful streaming production company this is an amazingly exciting opportunity to to join the friendly team and play an important part in the ongoing evolution and continued business growth of this successful production company, from its London base. This role has a broad remit and will report primarily to senior business figures and the umbrella companies accounting team and each of the production teams.

Responsibilities of the role will be:

Financial accounting, audit and transactional support including production accounting support:

  • Manage and perform month-end close process, signing-off on trial balance and production of monthly Management Accounts Pack
  • Producing the consolidated month end reporting packages for submission.
  • Manage all month end processes
  • Submission of Group VAT reports
  • Lead the statutory audit
  • Assistance with the subsidiary audits - usually for primary purpose of the tax credit claim
  • Set up of production bank accounts for subsidiaries.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations of all bank accounts.

Planning, Budgeting and management reporting:

  • FP&A, annual budget and quarterly reforecast submission
  • Preparation / monitoring of scripted development budgets including liaising with broadcasters / development funders.
  • Assisting senior business figures with operational and corporate matters as required

The successful candidate will be:

  • A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
  • Technically sound and up to date knowledge of accounting standards
  • Good attention to detail
  • Willing and used to working to tight deadlines
  • Proficiency in the use of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Previous media production or television experience is not a requirement but an interest and a desire to work within the sector is key. This role will require someone to work three or more days on site in the office, we are looking for someone who is ready to jump into a dynamic organisation and be prepared to be hands on!
