Senior Finance Manager - Business Solutions - Ecommerce Travel - London
Reporting in to the Director of Financial Operations you will head the team looking into the details of our financial operating model, finance systems and data flows. You will have a key role in driving the efficiency and effectiveness of many of Finance's key processes.
Business Solutions will be one of the primary interfaces between Finance and the wider business and will take a key role in ensuring commercial initiatives are set up with robust back-office processes in mind.
Key responsibilities:
- Review of our Finance systems and operational processes as we build the road map to increase Finance operating efficiency
- Provide insight and data to enable a gap analysis to help define the road map to IPO-level Financial Operations readiness
- Key point of contact for business teams as we scope and design commercial initiatives
- Following and updating Finance road maps for Technology and Data
- Delivering on a set of KPIs to help lead the Finance Team to be best in class, developing team performance in line with core values
- Using data and financial insights to deliver improvements and change
- Presenting findings and feedback to business stakeholders at all levels
- Overseeing data validation as we progress with our data road map
- Owning the testing and quality assurance of products, systems and data improvements
- Be part of enhancing inter-departmental reporting and communication flows enabling Finance to influence upstream processes
- Implement and monitor your team's KPIs to track productivity
- Providing data driven insight to the Director of Financial Operations on weak or poor process to effect change
- Working with product managers and technical teams on scoping and specification
Key skills:
- CIMA qualified accountant (or similar)
- Working in a fast growth ecommerce or technology business
- A good understanding financial systems and processes background
- Aided in designing processes that can unlock operating leverage
- Has been part of a team delivering complex projects
- Team leadership
- Comfortable operating in an environment that requires regular re-prioritisation
- Developing your own and the team's knowledge through implementation of new systems and process improvement
- SQL experience
- Are an excellent communicator; at ease explaining complex systems and processes to all levels
