Sales experienced, fluent in Spanish with a passion for film?

A global film distributor with offices in Glasgow, London, Los Angeles and Paris, with a sales presence in Australia, Germany and Japan are looking for a salex executive to work in their sales team focusing on clients in Latin America, Iberia and other select regions.

My client represents over 25,000 back catalogue titles from the libraries of the biggest Hollywood and British film studios as well as independent rights holders. They also facilitate screenings in over 100 countries around the world each year. From single-screen community cinemas to international multiplex chains, from rooftops to pop-ups and for festivals big and small, we license retrospectives, reissues, restorations, one-off repertory screenings, special events and cinematic celebrations on behalf of our studio partners.

The Sales Executive Role

We are looking for highly motivated applicants, with experience of delivering revenue targets in a sales role, ideally within the film, TV or advertising industry. In this role, communication with local clients in territory and building effective working relationships will be key, therefore we require someone who is able to speak Spanish fluently.

The role will involve working within the sales team to proactively sell classic films from vast library to cinema chains, cinematheques and film festivals. The role requires close collaboration with Technical Operations, Finance and Marketing teams to deliver great customer service end to end. It is an excellent opportunity to work with some of the biggest cinemas in the world to promote and sell fantastic classic films.

Sales Executive Duties & Responsibilities

  • Developing and executing (under supervision of Sales Director and Sales Managers) a pro-active outbound sales strategy for Latin America, Iberia and other territories.

  • Processing inbound theatrical sales enquiries from cinemas, cinematheques and film festivals, converting leads into to sales and upselling other relevant titles;

  • Supporting the theatrical sales teams in other international territories as and when required.

  • Holding regular client meetings either face to face or via video call to drive sales;

  • Using the Rights Management system (Arena) to accurately input, update and manage data from end to end of the sales process (contacts, leads, rights checks, bookings, marketing materials, technical materials, invoicing);

  • Working closely with the Sales Director on sales reporting in the relevant territories and measuring performance against Budget targets;

  • Various administration tasks linked to the role, as required.

Skills, Attributes & Experience Required

  • Proven track record in a pro-active sales role with accountability for delivering revenue targets;

  • Fluent Spanish speaker;

  • Have a dedicated, positive attitude and be a strong collaborator within the sales team and cross-collaborator with other teams to deliver shared objectives;

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and diplomatic manner;

  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, in particular Excel and Powerpoint;

  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage own workload and continually re-prioritise within a fast-paced, high-volume, high-performance work environment;

  • Exceptional level of attention to detail and organisational skills;

  • Ability to anticipate and resolve problems at an early stage;

  • Excellent customer service skills by phone, Zoom, Teams and email.

Skills, Attributes & Experience Preferred

  • A passion for film and cinema;

  • Sales experience within film distribution, TV sales or advertising sales.
