Royalties Assistant - TV Film and Theatre - London

A fast growing Entertainment business are looking for a Royalties Assistant to join the team on a permanent basis based in the West London offices. This Royalties Assistant will act as an integral part of the Royalties division assisting with the day to day running including processing payments, data handling and maintaining the general ledger.

We are looking for a driven candidate with an eagerness to learn and thrive professionally. The successful candidate will receive a full on boarding and training programme in order to be successful in the position.

Ideally we are looking for a candidate with great data entry skills, a basic understanding of Microsoft Excel and someone who is ready for a new challenge and chance to get stuck in!

Please note this role is office based - West London

Key responsibilities:

  • Administration of daily payments, including:

  • Processing royalty payments via a bespoke royalty management system (RMS)

  • Posting of payments to excel spreadsheets

  • To upkeep and maintain the general ledger

  • Invoicing for client fees

  • Maintenance of outstanding invoice list

  • Chasing of outstanding client VAT amounts

  • Inter-account client VAT and tax transfers

  • Maintenance of client individual records

  • Provision of client ledgers and bank statements to accountants

  • Calculation of annual client earnings and production of client earnings reports

  • Response to client and in-house queries

  • Foreign payments - preparing fee statements and organising payments in foreign currencies

  • Filing and shredding.

  • Stationary orders

  • Ad hoc duties

Key skills:

  • A keen interest in the Film/TV and Theatre industry

  • Previous experience working in a role involving data entry and administration is highly desirable

  • Previous experience of Royalties would be very advantageous

  • Efficient and accurate numeracy skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • A team player with a collaborative and enthusiastic work approach
