A unique role has become available for a Project Accountant to join anaward-winning visual effects company for high-end television and feature films.
The role will include but not be limited to:
Developing and improving the existing toolsets to drive efficiencies and create better control processes
Support producers in preparing detailed cost estimates for the run of the films and provide insight into the opportunities and risks of the show.
Assisting producers in financial reconciliation of their additional costs.
Provide analysis to senior management on the profitability of the project and provide insight into opportunities and risks.
Controlling, recording and reconciling costs to ensure cost control and preparing regular costs and progress reports for management.
Full month-end duties for the project, including cost variance analysis, revenue recognition and reforecasting.
Report, forecast and analyse all future revenues on the project.
Liaise with senior management to develop new systems for monitoring and controlling all costs.
Maximising efficiency and profitability of International film tax credits through outsourcing
Produce regular cost projection reports and analysis on the project.
Providing detailed cost analysis on expenditure on the project.
Work with resourcing and production teams to maximise profitability on outsourcing contracts.
Liaising with the Finance Team and Head of Production to ensure the financial data and forecasting is accurate and timely
Working with the resourcing team and HR to ensure our forecasted direct and indirect labour spend is in line across departments.
Qualifications
Visual Effects industry/film production experience essential.
Undergraduate degree in Accounting Part qualified CIMA/ACCA, Minimum 5 years' relevant work experience.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Sumifs etc.)
