Payroll Administrator - Handle Recruitment
Hybrid working - offices based in Farringdon

Providing full administrative & payroll support within a strict timeframe to ensure the accurate and timely payment of salaries for all temporary workers over multiple payrolls and various pay frequencies and in accordance with Government legislation.

We are looking for an intelligent, accurate and numerate payroll administrator to join our busy accounts office. The successful applicant will have up to date knowledge of UK Payroll regulations and have payroll knowledge, ideally gained in a busy high volume environment.

They must understand the demands of running a weekly payroll, be highly organised and possess a strong eye for detail with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
Essential to have good keyboard skills plus excellent time management. Must have great communication skills and be an effective relationship builder both internally with our busy recruitment consultants and externally with candidates and clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accurately processing their own clients' payrolls on a weekly and monthly basis and providing support as required to the other payroll teams.
  • Accurately checking and processing temporary workers timesheets for multiple high volume payrolls over various pay frequencies (InTime).
  • Accurately checking new worker details, maintaining compliance checks including passport & visa vetting requirements etc, and importing worker details into the relevant payroll system.
  • Recording any changes to these details which will affect the payroll - bank details, limited company and invoicing details etc in the payroll system (InPay).
  • Updating database with temporary workers weekly hours (Bullhorn).
  • Chasing all outstanding/missing timesheets with temporary workers and their consultants.
  • Confident in providing advice to temporary workers on all matters of payroll related enquiries.
  • Providing a timely response to the large volume of payroll enquires over multiple shared mailboxes.
  • Confident in calculating statutory payroll calculations.
  • Processing holiday pay, performing holiday calculations and entering onto the payroll systems.
  • Maintaining the leaver's process- removal from payroll system, paying accrued holiday balances and issuing of P45s after 12 weeks inactivity.
  • Updating tax codes, processing starter's declaration forms, P45s etc and reporting to HMRC on a weekly/monthly basis.
  • Processing of Umbrella and Ltd Company payrolls and associated invoices.
  • Liaising with candidates, consultants and clients as required.
  • Providing additional payroll/administration support to the Payroll Manager as required.
  • Ideally have knowledge of but not limited to Bullhorn and/or In Time and In Pay, extensive training will be given on all our payroll systems and databases.



Hours 9am to 5.30pm (some flexibility)
