We are looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join a growing Consultancy business based in London on a permanent basis. As a Management Accountant you will be responsible for providing day-to-day support to the Financial Controller in relation to all finance and some office admin matters.
We are looking a confident individual with excellent Excel skills, along with fantastic communication and the ability to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues and suppliers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Client credit-control and status reporting.
- Accurate and timely preparation of all client sales invoices.
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements.
- Supplier liaison, invoicing and payment management.
- Managing claims for expenses and travel arrangements.
- Working with our Commercial teams on handling sales-related filing and reporting.
- Assisting with various compliance matters, such as quarterly VAT returns and statutory accounts.
- Handling bank reconciliation and treasury matters.
- Dealing in a timely and effective manner with ad hoc finance queries regarding accounts payable/receivable.
- Monitoring bank accounts, credit cards and petty cash.
- Specific project support such as new accounts system review and implementation, and financial analysis.
SKILLS:
- Knowledge and understanding of financial management including invoicing and credit control and supplier payment
- An understanding of computerised accounting systems (Sage 50 & Sage Intacct preference) and the ability to maintain accurate records.
- Solid knowledge and use of Excel (Intermediate to Advanced user) and other Microsoft Office products.
- Accounting - past experience of carrying out bookkeeping to prepare monthly accounts and to provide support to the FC.
- Organisational skills - excellent personal time management including the ability to perform, prioritise and multi-task when required.
- Efficiency - diligent and focused; able to deliver to tight deadlines.
- Attention to detail - first-rate proof-reading ability of figures and calculations.
- Outstanding written and verbal (English) communications skills.
- Team player - willing to share information and ideas, operating effectively and collaboratively as part of the wider team.
