Legal Assistant (12 Month FTC)

Handle Recruitment are thrilled to be partnering with a world leading production company to source a Legal Assistant to support the team with the smooth running of all legal administration and processes.

Do you have an exceptional eye for detail and are able to meet deadlines effectively? This could be the role for you!

Key responsibilities:

  • Maintaining an up-to-date tracker of all credits on every production; including for Cast, Writer(s), Underlying rights holders, Director, Producer, Casting Director, co-producers, Tax credit requirements.
  • Diarise all relevant dates of delivery, acceptance and expiry in conjunction with the Development Team and notify all relevant EPs and Development Team well before options expire to confirm next steps.
  • Maintain and update deal logs for all pitch deals/treatment deals/script and format deals/book option deals.
  • Circulate the slates to relevant teams on a regular monthly basis.
  • Assist and maintain the Programme Status documents for each production, flagging outstanding items to the LBA Team.
  • Assist with short form amendments and agreements based on standard templates. E.g. side letters with Writers, Internal EP agreements for financing, simple treatment deals, NDA's, and miscellaneous amendments for a variety of contracts.
  • Coordinate all documents going out for signature electronically, following up where required, filing documents away correctly once signed and, if applicable, sending to finance for payment.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Good knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Strong administration and organisation skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise a busy workload
  • Flexibility and able to work under pressure
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Enthusiastic and proactive attitude
  • An interest in the legal field and a passion for TV
