My client, a market leading retailer - are looking for an Interim VAT specialist. Working closely alongside the VAT Manager in a team of 4, the successful candidate will help to prepare, review and submit multiple VAT returns and related filings such as EC Sales Listings.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced VAT/Tax specialist, to gain some excellent experience at a hugely popular blue-chip brand.
Key responsibilities include -
- Prepare, review and submit Intrastat returns as necessary
- Prepare, review and submit VAT returns and EC Sales Listings
- Manage and assist with VAT compliance queries from other global entities operating across Europe
- Prepare month-end VAT account reconciliations
- Provide internal and external audit support, including data analysis
- Assist with mapping VAT processes and identify areas for improvement
Candidate requirements -
- 4+ years of experience in relevant financial accounting and VAT
- Qualified Accountant - ACA, CTA or ACCA
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
- Experience of managing a wide range of stakeholders
- Can work from home effectively and efficiently
