Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Marketing to lead our client's marketing team and drive the strategic direction of the brand. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies to enhance their market presence, attract new clients, and foster strong relationships with key stakeholders. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership, creative, and analytical skills, and a deep understanding of the events and venue management industry in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning and Execution:

  • Develop and implement the overall marketing strategy aligned with the company's business goals.
  • Lead the creation of multi-channel marketing plans to drive brand awareness, lead generation, and client acquisition.
  • Oversee the execution of marketing campaigns across digital, social, email, and traditional channels.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Manage, mentor, and inspire the marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and high performance.
  • Set clear goals and objectives for the marketing team and ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance the skills and capabilities of the marketing team.

Brand Management and Communication

  • Ensure consistent and compelling brand messaging across all marketing channels and touchpoints.
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of promotional materials, including brochures, flyers, social media content, and website content.
  • Manage public relations efforts, including press releases, media-relations, and crisis communication.

Market Research and Competitive Analysis:

  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats.
  • Analyze data and insights to inform marketing strategies and campaign adjustments.
  • Stay abreast of industry developments and best practices to maintain a competitive edge.

Lead Generation and Client Acquisition:

  • Develop strategies to generate high-quality leads and convert them into clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with event organiser corporate clients, wedding planners, and other key stakeholders.
  • Identify new business opportunities and partnerships to expand the client base.

Event Promotion and Coordination:

  • Collaborate with the events team to promote upcoming events and maximize attendance.
  • Create and manage event marketing calendars, timelines, and promotional plans
  • Attend and support events to ensure successful execution and to network with potential clients.

Budget Management and Financial Reporting:

  • Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring optimal use of resources and adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Track marketing expenses and provide regular financial reports to the CEO.
  • Evaluate the financial impact of marketing activities and campaigns to ensure cost-effectiveness.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in a senior marketing role, preferably within the events and venue management industry.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing a marketing team.
  • Deep understanding of digital marketing, SEO, SEM, social media,and content marketing.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, CRM systems).
  • Creative thinker with strong problem-solving abilities.
