A growing Sports business are looking for a fully qualified accountant to join the team on a permanent full time basis based in the London HQ. Ideally we are looking for a candidate with 2 years post qualified experience who has experience working at Group Level.
This role is responsible for a plethora of financial duties working very closely with senior management and acts as an integral role within the division whilst they go through an exciting time of growth and development.

Key responsibilities:
Coordinate and communicate month end timetables to group, chase where necessary
Group month end P&L and balance sheet variance analysis
Review of individual subsidiaries' submissions
Review at overall group level including group BS ie goodwill, intangibles
Specific look at eg holding companies where no one really has ownership
Group reserves reconciliation - identify where dividend traps (ie insufficient reserves to pay out dividends)
Assist with monthly board reports - create slides, check numbers, collate subsidiary-level commentary and do group-level commentary
Group financial accounting - eg consol adjustments, running interco adjustments on NS, posting of any acquisition journals
Create and maintain group schedule by subsidiary of intangibles, goodwill, deferred tax etc
Preparation of group statutory accounts and notes
Review of subsidiary statutory accounts
Review of local GAAPs to AASB
Assisting with group audit queries ie acquisition accounting
Historic tidy-up work
Intercompany elimination and reconciliation - keep on top of it during month and not just month end. Both balance sheet and P&L, trading vs financing.
Assistance with Transfer Pricing, intercompany loan documentation, etc
Group Cash flow consolidation - coordinate, review, prepare reports
Key skills:
Ideally a fully qualified accountant with at least 2 years post qualified experience
A background in Media or Sports would be ideal but not essential
Experience working in Practice is also very beneficial
Ideally experience of groups/acquisitions
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment
Hands on and a great brand ambassador with a genuine passion for the industry
Great IT including Excel
