Financial Controller (Part Time 3 or 4 Days) - Events/Media

Market leading, highly respected creative events and media agency are looking for a qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA Part Time Financial Controller, reporting into the CEO, responsible for all their operational and transactional financial work.

The role:

  • Form part of the Senior Leadership Team and attend the SLT weekly meetings

  • Attend the quarterly Steering Group / Board meetings Transactions and Accounting

  • General bookkeeping - Setting up and reviewing controls

  • Bank and credit card reconciliation

  • Posting / processing vendor invoices (approx. 30/40 month)

  • Annual budget Reporting

  • Monthly management accounts

  • Managing the payroll for around 25 staff

  • Forecasting and budgeting

  • 8/12 week cash flow (every 2 weeks)

  • Bi-monthly annual forecast

  • Weekly cash balance and reconciliation

  • Annual report and filings

  • Tax & VAT returns preparation and submission

  • Supporting with annual corporation tax returns

The Candidate:

  • Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent or Qualified by Experience (QBE) with excellent financial reporting capabilities and experience

  • A good understanding of tax, payroll and general 'operational' finance management

  • Experience from a previous Management or Financial accountant role

  • Good communication skills - written and verbal

  • High attention to detail with good organisational skills

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Familiar using Quickbooks

  • Prior experience of working within a similar media events organisation would also be preferable, although not essential

  • Prior experience with Agile ways of working would also be preferable, although not essential
