Financial Controller - Live events -FTC
I am looking for a Financial Controller to join one of my clients who specialise in live entertainment providing outstanding performances for audiences and managing 64 venues across Britain, the US and Germany.
My client is currently in the process of rolling out a new global ERP system, this role has been created to cover for the existing Financial Controller while on secondment to the project. You'll report to the UK CFO & Group Commercial Finance Director and be responsible for a great team of people. You'll also work closely with the Commercial Finance team and the wider business.
What are my Key responsibilities?
Review and sign-off the monthly UK management accounts
Manage team of three direct reports - UK Finance Manager, Transactions Manager and Settlements Controller
Overall responsibility for UK Balance Sheet - regular review and holding team accountable
Manage the UK statutory audit process, play key role in managing relationship with auditors and ensure smooth running of UK audit
Identify financial control and process improvements, and implement changes to strengthen the control environment and increase the efficiency of the team
Embrace change agenda - be an enthusiastic advocate of change
Assist in identifying operational and technical problems and to make suggestions regarding amendments to working practices and policies
Assist and support team with system change
Ad hoc reporting and queries
What do I need to be considered for this role?
Essential
Qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
Previous Financial Controller role in a large company
Practical experience of month end reconciliations and problem solving
Prior experience of managing external audit
Detail and control orientated
Excellent Excel and IT skills
Strong intellect combined with attention to detail, well organised, process driven and delivery focussed
Desirable
Previous experience of system change
Experience of Navision, Dynamics 365 and Cognos Controller
