Financial Controller needed for a global sports and entertainment brand! This role is a 15-month fixed term contract that will lead technical accounting processes under both local and US GAAP.

My client is looking for a highly experienced, technically strong Financial Controller, who has great knowledge of US GAAP and SOX.

Role responsibilities include:

Act as the key contact for internal and external audits, ensuring audits run smoothly, and managing relationships with relevant reporting authorities
Oversee the preparation and accuracy of financial reporting packs for statutory entities
Take ownership of financial control processes, ensuring robust and effective management of internal controls to safeguard financial integrity
Responsible for delivering insightful analysis and explanation of financial results, highlighting key variances and their impact on the company's overall financial performance
Ensure that financial reporting packs for statutory entities are complete, accurate, and timely, supporting decision-making and compliance with external reporting requirements
Assess capital expenditure processes, ensuring proper recording of internal labour costs and alignment with project budgets and forecasts
Manage and mentor a team of 2 qualified Accountants

Candidate Requirements:

Professional Qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent
Have strong knowledge of US GAAP and SOX controls
Proven experience in providing financial leadership within a commercial setting
Strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
Experience in managing and motivating a small finance team
Have worked in a complex, multi-national organisation
