Visual Experience Financial Accountant - Interim - ASAP start
I am looking for a Financial Accountant to join one of my clients on an interim basis. My client is the industry-leading platform at the heart of the new era of visual experiences.
What will you be doing?
- Ownership in the resolution of open accounting issues
- Ownership in the month-end global close of subsidiaries
- Robust preparation of month-end balance sheet reconciliation for some of the subsidiaries within the group
- Assisting the FC with variance analysis
- Provide guidance on correct accounting treatment for junior members of staff
- Lead monthly meetings with senior finance staff to review reconciliation and highlight any misstatements or material incorrect entries
- Reviewing and identifying both control and process improvements
- Overseeing the application of travel and expense claim policies
- Assist with fieldwork for year-end statutory group audit
- Updating process and accounting policy documents
- Supporting the Finance Manager and FP&A Manager with adhoc tasks as required
Requirements
- Fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA Accountant with a proven track record in management accounting.
- Knowledge of VAT and tax from a UK perspective
- Experience of consolidation of multi-national, multi-currency group
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to investigate and understand variances and underlying reasons
- Meticulous attention to detail and an inquiring mind for accurate financial reporting.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to confidently liaise with various departments and stakeholders.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to provide industry-leading customer service to internal and external customers.
This role is a hybrid role with 3 days spent in the office in London, and 2 days WFH.
