FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT - SPORTS - RICHMOND

Excellent opportunity has arisen for a qualified or finalist level ACA or ACCA Financial Accountant to work with worldwide Sports marketing company.

We are looking for an experienced Financial Accountant to monitor all financial data and prepare accurate statements for our company. Responsibilities include budgeting, managing tax payments and performing internal audits. You will act as a consultant for senior managers, conducting cost and revenues analyses. A successful candidate should have a relevant qualification and experience in similar industry or practice.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To work closely with the finance contacts across the company to develop and implement a robust month end process and controls, creating efficiency's and continuously improving processes
  • Prepare reporting numbers to ultimate parent company, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards
  • Prepare the group Management Accounts monthly including ensuring that significant variances explained
  • Prepare the monthly group consolidation including any consolidation journals
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis
  • Prepare the accruals and prepayments journals including posting of the more complex monthly accruals / prepayments
  • Support production of monthly cash flow reporting and forecast
  • Participate in long-term cash flow planning
  • Manage the ledger set up in ERP system including opening and closing the ledgers, new account code set up
  • Participate in smooth transition of implementation of new ERP system (Xero to Net-Suite)

SKILLS:

  • 3+ years in professional accountancy role in either practice or similar industry.
  • Part-qualified (finalist level) or fully qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA)
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills
  • Experience of working in fast-paced environment
  • Experience within a private equity backed business (desirable not essential)
  • Cash flow preparation and tax accounting experience
  • Knowledge of Xero and Net-Suite accounting ERP systems
