Finance Reporting Manager - Digital Media

This role is primarily responsible for managing the financial reporting of the wider Group, entailing US and APAC payroll, APAC entity operations and month end, governmental statistics requirements and ad hoc shareholder reporting.

They will be responsible for monthly and bi-monthly deadlines and ad hoc project work in addition to wider operational projects. They will also be required to ensure compliance with all statutory and internal financial reporting policies within the Group.

Key internal relationships - reports to Head of Finance, with dotted line to Financial Controller. Will work closely with Financial Operations Team, FP&A team and wider Controlling team. Will be responsible for managing the day to day financial reporting of the Group

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of monthly group management accounts for internal management
  • Preparation of Statutory Financial Statements under FRS 101 and Liaising with Auditors and managing the annual audit process
  • Continual adaptation and improvements of Month End Procedures
  • Oversight and review of day to day accounting procedures, control environment and cash cycles
  • Reviewing and re-engineering of internal controls procedures to meet future Group requirements Liaising with People team re: monthly APAC UK payroll. Reviewing and approving monthly payrolls to APAC payroll bureau
  • Liaising with FP&A team on information provision and projects as required
  • Monitoring and review of US group including liaising with US production accountant, owning and reviewing month end procedures and reviewing, improving and implementing enhanced financial procedures and policies
  • Review and management of the bi-monthly US payroll
  • Quarterly VAT return review and preparation
  • Reviewing and oversight of the subsidiary entities and operations and ensuring compliance with Little Dot Finance procedures
  • Review of inter-company transactions, balances and reconciliations and monitoring of inter-company cash flow and movements
  • Ad-hoc projects as directed by the Head of Finance / COO

Skills Required:

  • ACA /ACCA/CIMA qualified with minimum 1 years + PQE
  • Systems experience essential with Excel knowledge to advanced level. Knowledge of PMI accounting systems desirable but not essential
  • Excellent planning and organising skills to meet deadlines
  • Flexibility and adaptability to change and planning for future needs
  • Experience gained within a media, ideally TV/digital production business preferable but not essential
