Finance Manager - Music/Events

A growing international music/entertainment company are looking for a strong Finance Manager to join their Soho based team.

The successful applicant will work alongside the current Finance Director (who is remotely based), the CEO, operations and event management teams to ensure efficiency of all business processes, administration and financial management.

This is an exciting new role which will require an experienced, diligent, and confident Finance Manage. Someone who is happy to hit the ground running, identify difficulties and eliminate inefficiencies by suggesting revised workflows and better utilisation of internal systems and tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all company financial processes

  • Process day to day bookkeeping

  • Carry out monthly bank reconciliations, and reconciliation of company credit cards

  • Prepare and review financial reports at the request of the Managing Director

  • Manage process of client invoicing alongside the operations team

  • Manage weekly and monthly invoicing to our residency clients and venues alongside the event management team

  • Manage process of team expenses and execute payments

  • Monitoring company debtors and working alongside the event management team to recover late payments

  • Implement and execute a tracking process to analyse profit and loss for every event that takes place

  • Other ad-hoc financial and admin duties as required to ensure smooth running of Finance Department.

Key Attributes:

  • Fully conversant with accounting softwares such as Sage and Xero

  • Strong knowledge of CRM and payment platforms · Comfortable with client-facing and internal team communication

  • Flexibility and being prepared to be part of an expanding business with changing requirements.

  • Able to juggle a full workload and prioritise tasks, with a busy email inbox.

  • A creative thinker. As this is a new role in a growing business, there will be opportunities to implement new ideas to improve productivity and streamline processes.

  • Part-qualified or qualified CIMA, ACCA and/or FCA

  • Minimum 3 years' relevant working experience in a finance department

  • Experience in the events, music or creative industries

  • Experience working for a small but fast-growing business, ideally on a global scale.
