An innovative Consultancy are looking for a hands on Finance Manager on a full time permanent basis.
The role is currently a stand alone role looking after end to end finance duties. The responsibilities will include monthly reporting, management accounts, forecasting and planning.
Working closely with senior management team, you will responsible for the smooth running of the finance function and will become an integral part of the growing business.
We are looking for someone highly skilled, with previous experience within Finance. The ideal candidate will be studying towards a professional finance qualification and be ready to get stuck in, helping to streamline and improve financial processes as well as helping to grow the team.
Please note this role is working on a hybrid basis with 2-3 days in the office.
Key responsibilities:
Managing and inputting all data relating to external costs and suppliers
Preparing and managing all client invoices based on data shared by the client managers
Tracking all costs against client projects
Preparing all data on Xero for monthly management accounts Debtor management
Managing all debtors and escalating issues to Directors and client teams on a monthly basis Payment
Managing approvals and preparing weekly payment runs for supplier
Managing approvals and preparing monthly expenses payments for the team
Managing and processing payments for running costs such as rent, rates etc. Client/Project processing
Managing and finalising client contracts and supplier details with the project teams
Managing and opening client job numbers for efficient cost management on Xero
Managing the interface with client finance platforms and ensuring all invoices are suitably prepared and uploaded
Managing and opening Purchase Orders for suppliers
Tracking client invoices and ensuring the smooth running of payments and reconciliations
Managing supplier and operational payments and payroll
Managing the reconciliations between bank account and Xero platform
Reviewing banking activity to identify payments or any issues
Managing use of currency accounts and overview of currency gains/losses Reporting
Providing adhoc support to the Directors by preparing reports to support decision making on client profitability, overheads, recruitment and investments.
Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts, Revenue and Cost forecasts, and Cashflow to identify priorities or actions required
Key skills:
Working towards a professional qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
Previous experience working in a hands on role with experience in monthly management accounts
Strong IT skills and experience using Xero would be highly advantageous
Ability to prioritise own work load, adhering to deadlines
Confident leading from the front, someone who is a strong communicator and business partner
