We have a really exciting opportunity for a qualified Finance Manager to join growing Beauty and Cosmetics business. We are looking for an individual to make the role your own by implementing structure and systems as well as managing the whole finance function.
As the Finance Manager you will be responsible for all finance activity, including but not limited to the delivery of all Group financial and management accounting, managing external and internal relationships, designing robust systems and processes are implemented for operational efficiency, and overseeing the finance function and management of the team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Full accountability for the efficient delivery of the Finance function.
- Ensure all financial and legal obligations are met.
- Prepare accurate management accounts for individual companies and Group management accounts on time and accurately, providing commentary on year-to-date performance.
- Prepare and submit statutory accounts.
- Manage the balance sheet; ensure team produce accurate results, investigate, and rectify errors. Review bank reconciliations and any other accounting work necessary.
- Manage budgets and prepare forecasting reports.
- Prepare Departmental P&L's and supporting non-finance leaders in understanding their individual P&L's.
- Manage cash flow.
- Oversee all matters concerning payroll, tax, Companies House filings, audit and risk including, but not limited to employment taxes, VAT, corporation tax, and ensure all statutory deadlines are met. Continuously encourage full compliance.
- Establish robust internal processes and controls, and hold the business to account to ensure they are adopted at all times.
- Build and implement a robust financial reporting calendar, including necessary communications across the business to ensure deadlines are met.
- Manage and develop the team, currently 1x Accountant and 1x Finance Analyst.
- Review company financial reports and company procurement channels to ensure value for money and identify ways to reduce cost/ seek efficiency.
- Analyse market trends to maximise profits and find expansion opportunities. Support CEO in potential acquisitions and/or Company restructures.
- Oversee all finance systems used, ensuring the full capability is understood and optimised to streamline transactional activity. Champion system development and approval permissions (Xero, BrightPay).
SKILLS:
- Graduate level qualification or equivalent
- ACCA, CIMA, or ACA qualified.
- Robust understanding of the Finance function, including management and statutory reporting. Knowledge of UK accounting regulations.
- Demonstrable track record of successfully resolving accounting queries and significant 'issues' with internal and external stakeholders.
- Successes in delivering and driving financial standards.
- Advanced Excel skills to build financial models and support analysis.
- A proactive and commercial mindset with strong business partnering experience.
