We are on the hunt for a full time, permanent Finance Assistant for a growing Talent Management company based in Central London. As a Finance Assistant you will be responsible for leading the invoicing and credit control for the group companies. You will work closely with the Finance Manager ensuring smooth running of the day to day transactional duties with a focus on processing invoices, allocating payments and credit control.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about forging their own path within Finance, who can work confidently in a creative business and be a great brand ambassador.

Responsibilities:

  • Generating and issuing invoices

  • Supporting a global team via remote working on cloud based software

  • Effectively managing credit control and being able to use assertiveness appropriately

  • Reconciling payments on our accounting software Xero, with an understanding of how this effects the book keeping

  • Managing petty cash

  • Arranging client payments and sending remittances

  • Assisting the Finance Director and Directors with Ad-hoc tasks

  • Liaison with the in house finance and legal team and the company's external accountants

  • General administration for the Finance team

  • Answering and redirecting incoming telephone calls

  • Carrying out due diligence on business transactions

  • Contributing to ensuring that business risk is managed appropriately

  • Encouraging professionalism and probity within the business

  • Ability to step in for colleagues during periods of leave

Skills:

  • Ideally has at least 1 years experience working within a Finance setting

  • Prior knowledge of invoice processing and allocating payments

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Highly organised and ability to work in a fast paced environment

  • Team player

  • High levels of assertiveness, confidence and influencing skills

  • Ability to think under pressure, remain calm in situations of contention, project a pro-social & professional image at all times and lead by example

  • Outgoing, friendly with a 'can do' attitude

  • Great time management skills
