Handle are currently working with a hugely successful PR Agency, who are looking for a European Financial Director for a period of 5 months. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in leading the finance, accounting and controls functions. This is a very broad position that covers all aspects of commercial finance and technical reporting.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Financial Director, who has previously been part of a high-growth business, and is a proven leader!
Key responsibilities include -
- Take ownership of the strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting process
- Build relationships and be the key point of contact to internal and external parties including auditors and legal
- Be responsible for the accurate monthly, quarterly and year reporting to the wider group
- Provide strategic and commercial advice and assist with critical business decisions
- Provide detailed financial modelling and planning
- Responsible for the implementation of accounting policies and procedures, including SOX, Internal Controls Framework and annual financial audits.
- Manage coach and mentor the team
Candidate requirements -
- Qualified Accountant - ACCA, ACA or CIMA (or international equivalent)
- Have worked in a similar senior FD role, in part of a high-growth business going through change
- Possess both strong commercial acumen, as well as good technical accounting knowledge
- Have international work experience
- Be a proven leader and have managed successful teams previously
- Ability to work under pressure in an environment with constantly changing priorities
