This role is responsible for centrally supporting the Label's global rights conflict resolution process. It involves confirming rights positions with business affairs when information is lacking or outdated and collaborating with local teams to optimise the end-to-end process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take a leadership role in ensuring operating companies (opcos) meet required operational standards.
- Prioritise key conflicts and escalate them to stakeholders when necessary to ensure timely resolution.
- Proactively monitor internal rights clean-up projects and report outcomes to local teams for resolution with partners where applicable.
- Support the global process for resolving conflicts with third-party rights holders.
- Assist local teams-both new to and already engaged in the process-to ensure effective implementation.
- Set up system access, provide training, and offer support to internal staff involved in conflict resolution, working with the Manager, Global Rights Operations to manage workloads appropriately.
- Act as a liaison to facilitate rights confirmations with repertoire owners' business affairs teams, ensuring updates are made in the global rights system as needed.
