We are looking for a Commercial Manager for a specialist travel and events business who create unforgettable, experiential travel packages that combine a range of music, sport and theatre tickets with accommodation. Through innovative technology, we work in collaboration with event organisers to enable them to benefit from the demand for accommodation their events create.

The Role & Person Summary

Handle are looking for a Commercial Manager to join part of a growing UK based team. Managing a small team and forming part of the management team in the business, you will take an active role in leading the commercial function, ensuring market leading products are developed and on sale, with market leading rates and terms, setting the business for commercial success.

Key Responsibilities

  • To manage existing and create new hotel and event partnerships that will contribute to business growth

  • Lead a small team of internal employees and external agency support, ensuring the commercial function continuously over exceeds in terms of business KPI's

  • Manage all inventory ensuring adequate on sale periods, cut off and hand back process and maximising revenue capabilities

  • Growing revenue from both the core product and ancillaries

  • Managing complex supply and customer issues to ensure the product meets customer requirements

  • Manage commercial budgets, working with senior management and finance to both build and report on budgets

  • Work with the wider team to create and launch the partner onboarding and package grading processes

  • Create an industry leading hotel partner programme that champions quality, revenue & profit

  • Regular data and trend analysis, reporting key findings for business improvement

  • Report commercial metrics regularly to senior team members, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually

  • Partner with the Packages and Operations manager to ensure competitive, market leading packages that yield compelling commercial results for the brand.
