COMMERCIAL FINANCE ANALYST - TV/FILM - LONDON

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Commercial Finance Analyst to work with one of Europe's leading film and TV production companies. A successful candidate will be part of a team which is counted as the backbone of this business, ensuring the amazing work they do is reflected with accurate financials.

A successful candidate will have oversight over the fastest growing and ever-changing parts of the business. The licensing and digital landscapes, which are constantly growing and evolving, with a vast need for ever more data to ensure that this business is at the forefront of digital age.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Commercial analysis across all digital platforms of the business as well as their competitors which will including sales charting, price tracking, competitor analysis, sales curves, customer and market trend analysis
  • Business partnering the Licensing & Digital Sales Team, providing recommendations and post campaign analysis on retail campaigns, platform/genre specific marketing, title selection and commercial negotiations
  • Supporting the investment appraisal process by providing insightful information, such as comparison titles, to aid decision making on new projects and continuously improve the process by tracking against these
  • Prepare the budget and re-forecasts for licensing & digital revenue as well as costs in conjunction with the commercial team, feeding into the overall company budget
  • Prepare month end adjustments for licensing & digital revenue and costs, including variance analysis to forecast
  • Review and assist (where necessary) with licensing & digital invoices and cash allocations
  • Maintenance of historical data for analysis purposes
  • Adhoc reporting and analysis

SKILLS:

  • Excellent Excel skills including nested formulas, vlookups, pivot tables & sumifs
  • Minimum of 12 months experience in an analyst role
  • Ideally part-qualified (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent)
  • Passion for the film industry and regular interaction with content
  • Bright and motivated with keen attention to detail
  • Proactive with positive can-do attitude
