We're looking for a Commercial Finance Analyst to join global fast-moving, ambitious and growing organisation on a permanent basis. Here you will be supporting the financial planning and decision-making in our business. You'll be responsible for data integrity and reporting across all aspects of the business, working closely with the commercial finance managers and key stakeholders within the business.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Running the daily status report and providing variance analysis to the commercial teams to drive actions in achieving targets.
Preparing the weekly sales flash and trade deck.
Providing open orders, invoiced sales and run rate analysis to commercial teams to facilitate forecasting requirements.
Maintaining and updating the customer hierarchy in our BI tool.
Assisting the commercial finance team during month end, preparing journals required.
Consolidating the monthly sales reporting and sales and margin forecast files.
B2B charge-back analysis: prepare and review a monthly charge-back tracker to understand profitability of our B2B customers.
Maintain seasonal PIM report tracker.
You'll work with our reporting tool and the commercial managers to improve analytical insights into sales and margin, building tools based on requirements such as SKU reporting, seasonal analysis, customer profitability and more.
Review all current reporting to either streamline files/reports or create new reports in order to retrieve information more efficiently and provide better insights.
We are lucky enough to have a finance team that is all in one place. We want our commercial finance time to be the bridge between the business and our management accounts team, who keep our accounting ship-shape. You'll develop strong relationships across finance and keep channels of communication open to ensure we always have accurate reporting.
SKILLS:
Experience of working in a commercial finance function for a retail business. A working understanding of different business models (wholesale, distributor, B2C) would be a benefit but not essential.
Have an accounting qualification or part qualified.
You'll be super-analytical, a 'whizz' with data and numbers and be able to use this to influence, challenge and support commercial decisions and spot new business opportunities.
Strong Excel Skills to facilitate reporting improvements and efficiencies.
You'll be a great communicator; enjoying collaborating cross-functionally and with all levels just as much as you enjoy a good colour-coded spreadsheet.
Proactive, curious and focused, you'll want to make an impact and will ask questions, pull information and bring the right people along with you.
Happy working in a fast paced and changing environment.
