A fast growing Media Agency are looking for a commercial astute accountant to join the team on a permanent full time basis based from the London HQ, working a hybrid model. As Commercial Accountant your responsibilities will include working closely with the Head of Finance & Operations and the Client Services department to ensure best commercial practice is seen across the business transactions.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience within Revenue, Reporting and WIP. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working in a busy environment, and eager to get stuck in.
Please note: This role requires 4 days in office and 1 from home.
Responsibilities:
Working in close partnership with Client Services
Working with the team to confirm and process monthly revenue recognition
Building revenue forecasts alongside Client Services
Monthly finance meetings with Client Service teams
Training and on-boarding new joiners on Commercial finance processes
Working with Client Services to ensure all jobs are opened, maintained, and closed in line with our processes
Ensuring estimates are set up using correct rate cards and exchange rates
Regularly reviewing outstanding POs and unbilled estimates to ensure timely billing
Tracking time across jobs regularly to monitor any over-servicing or potential over-servicing
Monitoring Bought Ins, and T&E spend across jobs and advising Business Leads of underspend / overspend Reporting
Monthly WIP reports & any commentary necessary
Monthly Pre-bill reconciliation & any commentary necessary
Monthly revenue forecasts & new business pipeline
Monthly packs on job profitability, and servicing for Client Services
Tracking SOW hours against actual time for Head of Finance
Awareness of Aged Debtors (reporting and credit control sits with Finance Assistant) Client SOWs & contracts
Understanding client contracts and any clauses to be aware of
Ensuring Client Service teams are aware of any clauses needed to perform the work
Skills:
Commercially focused with great organisational skills and attention to detail
A background within a Creatively focused business would be beneficial
Excellent communication skills
An individual that is happy to work with both finance and non-finance staff
Proficient IT skills including Microsoft Office (Excel)
