Handle are thrilled to be working with one of the world's leading music brands. Part of the brand is one of the most well-known stores in the country which along with the experience they sell a range of high-quality merchandise which includes LP's, Vinyl and exciting artist collaborations. There is usually a large annual footfall and is considered to be a world-famous tourist attraction.

They're searching for an Assistant Manager who would play a vital role working with General Manager to run a small business unit.. You would oversee the team's delivery on a variety of tasks including product development, buying and multichannel operations. This is a great retail opportunity for someone who has a love and passion for music and be responsible for a team in a successful world-renowned organisation.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work with the management team to help develop commercial strategies to ensure that targets are met
  • Keeping a strong knowledge of the retail market
  • Develop SOPs to maximise sales and enhance visitor experience
  • Performing opening, closing of the store
  • Sell merchandise and manage stock
  • Coordinate special promotions and any reordering of popular products
  • Maintaining high standards in store presentation
  • Managing promotion layouts and arrangements to help maximise sales and profit
  • Reviewing trading data and taking actions required to benefit the longer-term retail operations
  • Ensuring warehouse stock levels are maintained
  • Build a dedicated retail team through effective recruitment
  • Motivate and manage the team to help provide an excellent customer service
  • Manage and supervise store personnel during peaks and busy periods
  • Creating reports using the EPOS system

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A passion for music and working in a music store
  • Strong retail store management experience
  • Excellent customer facing communication experience
  • Previous experience managing strategies and implementing targets
  • The ability to retain and disseminate commercial data, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Experience in effectively managing a team and recruiting in a retail environment
  • Customer-facing, cash-handling and EPOS systems experience
