Assistant Accountant - Music

Are you experienced in Systems/ AP / AR / Banking? I am looking for a candidate to join a global record company for a minimum of 6 months.

The main purpose of this role is to support the Accounts Payable, Receivables & Treasury functions within the Finance Operations team.

The ideal candidate will develop strong working relationships with various stakeholders including the Central Finance Team, Label Finance Team Global Shared Service Centre based in Mexico & India.

Main Duties

  • Review and process the 3 x weekly BACS runs for the UK business

  • Review and process the daily CHAPS runs for the UK business

  • Make critical payments

  • Ensuring local bank balances reconcile to system totals

  • Following up on all returned payments, recalls or traces with suppliers and local bank

  • Actioning any payment queries received from the local bank

  • Processing all new supplier account bank verification checks

  • Assist Label Finance with AP payment issue resolution

  • Ensuring all bank items are accurately posted daily

  • Ensure accurate filing of all payment documents

  • Reviewing new customer applications and routing for credit limit approval

  • Investigating and resolving unknown cash receipts
