A leader in arts, producing some of the greatest musicals of all times including Les Misrables is looking for a talented finance and accounting professional to join our small team based in Central London.

This is a full-time ,permanent position with hybrid working hours. The hours are Monday to Friday from 10am to 6pm and you will be required to be in the office a minimum of 4 days per week. You can work from home should you wish, after successful completion of probation period. You must be eligible to work in the UK.

The position will be reporting to the Financial Controller, and you will be working closely with the rest of the finance team as well as the Production, International and Technical departments, external accountants, and auditors.

The Role

We are looking for an Assistant Accountant to become an integral part of our Finance Team who can broadly assist with month-end and year-end preparations including UK statutory accounts, annual audits, budgeting, and forecasting.

Other areas of responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and submitting the quarterly VAT and withholding tax returns

  • Producing and submitting annual PSA Settlement Agreements

  • Producing annual P11D statements

  • Royalty Distributions

  • Assist the Financial Controller or Finance Director in ad-hoc projects.

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Part qualified accountant e.g. ACCA, CIMA, ACA

  • Minimum 2-3 years- experience in finance or accounting roles.

  • Has a UK work permit

  • Comfortable with accounting concepts; strong double-entry bookkeeping skills essential

  • Practical, pragmatic and enjoy working as part of a small team in a busy environment
