We are looking for a motivated Accounts Assistant to join a growing business within the Media and Entertainment space based in London. We have two roles offering both hybrid and remote working.

These Accounts Assistants will be responsible for a range of transactional duties working alongside the Finance Director. We are looking for someone who is ready to get stuck in and someone who is looking to progress naturally with the business as they scale up. Ideally you will have 2+ years experience with a sound understanding of invoice processing, reconciliations and an idea of assisting with month end tasks.

Key responsibilities:

  • Processing supplier invoices and matching to the PO System
  • Preparing the payment runs
  • Raising sales invoices
  • Credit Control and Supplier Statement Reconciliations
  • Supporting month end - processing journals and reconciliation to trial balance
  • Expenditure analysis
  • Monthly and quarterly VAT returns
  • Balance sheet reconciliation (accruals, prepayments)
  • Multi currency bank reconciliations
  • Run Forex adjustments across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and GLs
  • Posting of inter-company recharges across the Group
  • Processing staff expenses
  • Maintain Fixed Asset register and prepare depreciation journals.
  • Assisting with year end
  • Assisting in Project Maintenance including setting up new projects and helping the wider team with budget management
  • Other ad hoc tasks as required

Key skills:

  • Ideally has 2+ years experience working as part of a finance function
  • A good understanding of general accounting procedures
  • IT literate with a good understanding of MS Excel
  • Knowledge of Sage is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion to work in the Media and Entertainment industry
  • Be able to work under pressure and manage changing deadlines
  • Be enthusiastic, self-motivated and be able to work in a small but very fast paced and dynamic environment
