Our focus this week is Riverside Studio and its talent showcase, The River Sessions, where emerging talent is given the opportunity to perform at their iconic venue in Hammersmith.
The artists performing are part of the studio's monthly search for emerging talent in the music scene and spotlighting them in a venue that brings the creative community in West London together. If you would like to perform email Any.lucas@riversidestudios.co.uk.

James Dylan Thomson is a singer songwriter, with roots from the theatre. Having studied at Central School of Speech and Drama. His songs are stories and sometimes they adapt to the place he's singing. His influences include Bob Dylan and Pink Floyd. He plays guitar, mandolin and piano. As well as a songwriter, he is a playwright.
Jas Ratchford is a singer-songwriter based in South East London. After self-producing her folk/pop original songs in her bedroom as a teenager and co-writing 'Palindrome’: the musical at Edinburgh Fringe this year, she is thrilled to be back to music making and can't wait to release her new single at the end of the year.
Louella Lucas is a singer/songwriter and creative based in London. Inspired by the likes of Laura Marling, Laufey and Amy Winehouse, she hopes to create music that pulls at an audience's heartstrings. Louella will be playing a set of original stripped-back and emotional ballads in anticipation of her debut EP - set to be released in the new year.

For almost 100 years, Riverside Studios has been home to many iconic programmes, actors, actresses and performances, bringing the creative arts to West London. After 5 years of redevelopment, the venue reopened in 2019 with more spaces for artists to showcase their talents, as well as many high-budget performances
Riverside Studios intends to be 'an independent home for new, innovative and international work, for an audience rooted in our local West London community and which is accessible to everyone, everywhere’.
Riverside Studios also collaborates with schools and charities to 'promote greater understanding and appreciation of the educational, social and economic importance of the arts in our community'.
