Agency Worker Regulations for PAYE Agency Workers

On 1 October 2011 The Agency Worker's Regulations (AWR) came into force. This provides all Agency Workers with a right to equal treatment with their directly recruited equivalents after a 12 week qualifying period.

Equal treatment applies to basic working and employment conditions and covers

  1. Duration of working time
  2. Overtime
  3. Breaks
  4. Rest periods
  5. Night work
  6. Holidays
  7. Public holidays
  8. Pay - please see below

Pay includes basic pay plus any overtime, payment for annual leave bonuses or commission payments directly linked to the quality or quantity of the work done by an agency worker and vouchers or stamps with a monetary value.

From day one of a booking you will be entitled to access to certain facilities and information provided by the hirer. These can include access to job vacancies, canteens, childcare and transport. These Day 1 rights will be confirmed at the time of your booking and can vary.
